Plastics technologists are involved in the production and use of plastics: mostly they specialise in one particular aspect such as production, processing, research and development, quality control, etc. They usually work in small teams, either in a laboratory or a processing or production plant, depending on their speciality. They set up experiments or testing equipment and must be familiar with all the tools used in a laboratory, and also experienced in using computers.
