Scaffolders provide the framework for building or maintenance workers to gain access to the outside (sometimes the inside) of a building or other structure so that the workers can carry out their construction or maintenance work as easily as possible - this is called access scaffolding. The constructors of scaffolding must be very safety-conscious, not only of their own safety, but also the safety of the workers who will subsequently use the scaffolding. There is also so-called falsework scaffolding, which is used to support a formwork, for example, into which concrete is poured. After the concrete has set the scaffolding is removed. Scaffolder’s work requires the use of hand tools and other apparatus.
