Tasks of a production worker can vary considerably. They may work on a production line or at a bench or table. They operate or oversee automatic or semi-automatic machinery that manufactures goods. On a production line they continually check to ensure that all conditions remain correct, and may regulate the flow of the product. Sometimes they might be employed on a finishing process or in quality control. They may then label the item to attest to its quality. Other work includes assembly and packaging of the finished product.
