Plasterer
Fibrous plastering is a specialist job involving making or repairing decorative plaster mouldings, such as cornices or ceiling roses. Solid plastering provides a coating on the ceilings and walls, mostly inside, but sometimes also on the outside of buildings. It can also include laying solid floors. The plaster is usually applied in graded layers, in order to achieve the required finish.
Outside surfaces are covered with a mixture of sand and cement with various finishes such as pebble-dashing. Fibres are added to the plaster to stop it from crumbling when it is being moulded or formed in fibrous plastering. A solid plasterer then usually fits the decorative work thus made.
