Hospital porter

Placeholder
Description / Description
Most hospitals have a team of porters who act as assistants to the doctors and nurses and other hospital staff in such tasks as helping to move patients, furniture and equipment, bedding and dirty laundry etc. Some may be permanently attached to a particular position, such as accident and emergency or operations. They may also do security work, but many hospitals have a separate security staff. Sometimes their job includes transporting/driving between departments within the hospital grounds. Some porters also sort and deliver the incoming and internal mail: larger hospitals, however, would have separate staff for this work.
