Metal workers produce and install all the metallic parts in buildings such as: window-frames, doors, stairs, stair banisters, balconies, canopies, bridges etc. Some of the work is prefabricated in the workshop and then taken to the building site for installation. They carry out all the preparatory work on the metal, build the parts into the completed construction and then install it. They have many tools and machines to help them in their work, but fitness and good health are very important in carrying out this demanding work.– Sheet metal workers work with thin sheets of metal meant for light products whereas platers work with heavy metal plates. They do not only work in their workshops but also outdoors on site. They must be very safety conscious to protect their head, eyes, ears, feet and hands with special safety devices.
