This work is divided into several sections, such as: Pulp operators, who operate machinery that turns the raw material into pulp; Stock preparation operators, who ensure the stock has the correct properties; Machine operators, who operate the computer controlled machinery that makes the paper; Dryers and Reelers, who produce the finished reels of paper; and Coating machine and Cutter operators who perform the final finishing processes to produce sheets of paper. An important part of the process is the subsequent recycling of the vast amount of water used in papermaking, and also the recovery of any excess material for reprocessing.
