Dental assistants prepare all the necessary instruments and materials before treatment. During treatment, she assists the dentist, mixes fillings and cast-taking materials and makes X-rays. Further tasks are the cleaning, disinfection and sterilising of the instruments. She does administrative work as well, making appointments and keeping the patients’ files. She books the patients for regular inspections, and administers the material provisions.
