Store assistants thoroughly know the goods they sell. They have a broad knowledge and therefore can give or find out information about every product. With good knowledge of people and sensitivity they try feeling out the wishes of their customers, the adequate words and – very important in selling – the right smile. Other activities include sales promotions, the storing of products and arranging others so that they give a good presentation. Store assistants sort and count, fix price tags and tidy up, check dates and deliveries.
