Description / Description
Car valets use specialist equipment and cleaning products to clean and polish the exteriors and interiors of cars. The customer specifies the amount of work that he requires to be carried out on the car, and then they examine the car together to note and agree about any pre-existing marks or damage on the car before beginning the work. A full service would include cleaning the bodywork, wheels and engine together with vacuuming, cleaning and polishing the interior of the car. Finally the polish is applied with a cloth and buffed and the bumpers and windows are cleaned. If requested, experienced personnel can also carry out small cosmetic repairs by to the bodywork. Encouraging repeat orders is also an important part of the job. Work is quite easy to find - particularly on a part-time basis - as the demand for car valets is increasing. Local newspapers are a good source for finding vacancies. Car dealerships and car rental firms often employ valets to prepare new and used cars for sale and to clean them between hirings.
