Floor layer

Floor layers work with many different materials, such as carpeting, wood, vinyl, plastic or cork. All these materials come in many different qualities and thicknesses.
Work may be carried out in new buildings, or in buildings that are already occupied, which will normally necessitate clearing the area before beginning work. The surface to be covered is first prepared, after which the material is cut to size and laid in place. Careful planning is required to insure low wastage of the sometimes-expensive floor coverings.
