This work covers several fields: research into product and process development, production management, quality-control, retailing and other specialist activities such as government adviser, control of food safety, testing for contamination and pesticides, etc. As can be seen, this work is multi-faceted, entailing laboratory analysis, taste testing, collecting and analysing results of surveys, trouble-shooting production problems, insuring consistent product quality, work on packaging, and many other aspects of food production.
