Heating and ventilation fitters/welders install the equipment necessary to control the temperature and air-conditioning of buildings. They work according to plans provided for them and use various materials such as metal and plastics piping, which they join together by welding, adhesives or threading. They also construct ducting for air-conditioning.
Maintenance of installed work is also part of their job, and they should be aware of all the new development in their field, so that they can advise their customers as to the best plant for their purposes.
