Optometrist / Ophthalmic Optician

Optometrists advise their customers/clients in their search for optimal vision aids whether for work or sport, leisure or protection of the eyes. They suggest different models of frames for the glasses according to the face's form and the client's personality and inform them about possible lenses for the spectacles.
In the workshop they shape the chosen lenses to the right size to fit into the frames, either using a machine or by hand. Then they try them on the client and make the necessary adjustments to ensure a good and comfortable fit.
Also, the opticians duties include the ordering and control of stock and keeping the clients’ files up to date.
