Software developer

Description / Description
Software developers design, install, test and maintain software systems used by organisations in their IT systems. This requires a complete examination and understanding of the client’s system in order to prepare a precisely-costed recommendation for the software that is proposed to be designed and installed to replace or update the existing system. Whereas previously systems were totally redesigned periodically at high cost, nowadays software packages are bought and a code created to link them together and integrate them into the system, in a sort of high-level Lego process. After the successful updating, the software developer details the programs and writes manuals for the staff and trains them in how to use the new program.
