Public relations is the interface between an organisation and its clients, financial institutions, other organisations, the Media, politicians or the general public. PR personnel either work in-house or for an external public relations company. The work involves: programme planning, in consultation with the management and clients; writing and editing of PR material and its production; personal presentation of the PR material at interviews, conferences, etc; the planning of special PR events such as news conferences, exhibitions, or trade fairs; and research and evaluation of the results of past PR activity.
